Singapore, the happening city of South-east Asia is attracting travelers by the hundreds every day and not all of them are coming for brief business visits or vacations. Increasingly, the city is witnessing a surge in traffic inflow comprising people who are coming to stay in the city for an extended period of a few weeks or months on work or education-related assignments.

For such people, accommodation becomes a key issue as their stay is longer than what one can usually afford in a hotel or guest house accommodation. Especially when you are not sure about how long you are going to stay, it becomes even more critical to find an accommodation that gives you the facilities and services you need, at a locale you prefer and within a budget that is suitable for you.
What are the options?
· Hotels? They are not really an option if you need to stay for several months...
· Traditional Serviced Apartments? They are very expensive compared to a traditional long term lease, especially if you are coming here with your family.

· Traditional Long Term Tenancy? If you are looking for a traditional long term lease in Singapore you have to sign a lease agreement for a FIXED duration (usually 2 years) and it is not possible to terminate the lease earlier than initially planned.
Going in for a long term tenancy is not only expensive but also binding since you are into an agreement for a couple of years. If you are to stay is Singapore for a few months in Singapore, then these options are not feasible. Besides, it is not enough to just rent an apartment. You need sundry other amenities, facilities and services to make it livable.
For example, in a new country or unfamiliar city, it is not easy to manage contract subscription for utilities (electricity, water), equipment of the apartment, internet connection, cable TV, find a housekeeper, find a contractor for the maintenance of the aircon, take care of all the repairs and damages, and so on and so forth, all on your own. Especially if your stay is only for a few months, it is a real hassle. Moreover, a traditional long term lease will not include maintenance services or professional customer support (in case you have an issue with electricity, plumber, etc.) and also there are no weekly cleaning services.
